All political parties should promise "Advocate Protection Act" for the lawyers of India in their 2024 Lok Sabha election manifesto - Atul Sachdeva Senior Journalist

Atul Sachdeva - Delhi Dated 4th April 2024. Delhi's famous Advocate Mukesh Rajput while talking to the media today said, lawyers in India are the most indispensable part of any judicial system, they are the officers of the court and help in the administration of justice in the society. Are.

In the present scenario, there is no “Advocate Protection Act” for lawyers in India, but Rajasthan Government is the first state to bring Advocate Protection Act through a special session of the Legislative Assembly after a long protest/strike of lawyers. Is.

I want to tell all our political parties and leaders that in the coming Lok Sabha elections, whichever political party promises to make a law for the safety of advocates in its election manifesto, all the parties should make this promise in their manifesto.

Regarding this demand, United Advocates of India along with their advocate colleagues are going to meet the main political parties of the country with a memorandum. The demand for Advocate Protection Act has been going on for a long time.

A fearless and strong Bar is the foundation of administration of justice in the society. Therefore, a legislative framework for the protection of advocates is the need of the hour, so that advocates can perform their duties without any fear.

We hope that all political parties should give prominence to this demand in their manifesto. Political parties should make Advocates Protection Act an issue in their election manifesto. President of United Advocates of India thanked the media and said that always talk to the media. Media also has an important contribution in establishing the administration of justice by making our conversations available to the public.
